Heavy phase -
•For use with heavy phase solvents i.e. solvents with a heavier specific gravity than the sample liquid being extracted
•Comprises extractor body and baffle which should be ordered separately
•Designed for continuous operation
•Condensed solvent falls onto the baffle and is broken into small droplets
•Droplets of solvent descend through the liquid sample and extract desired components/contamination
•Solvent then returns to the boiling flask via a tube on the side of the extractor
